- Handle invoicing and maintain our accounting records;
- Improve the quality of our services and our website;
- Measure the performance of our advertising and marketing efforts;

We collect your personal information with your consent. When you fill out a form or share information with us, you consent to its use for the purposes described above.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to byebyerebus@gmail.com. Please note that withdrawing your consent may prevent us from continuing to serve your request.
6. Third-party tools and services
To run our website and respond to your requests, we use trusted third-party providers. These providers may process some of your information on our behalf, strictly within the scope of the services they perform for us.
- Website hosting and security — a third-party provider hosts our website and helps protect it against abuse and attacks.
- Quote-form processing — information you submit through our forms is stored in our customer-management system so we can follow up with you.
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) advertising technologies — we use Meta's measurement tools to understand how our advertising performs and, where applicable, to show our services to people who have already visited our site.
- Web fonts — our site loads typography from an external service, which may collect your IP address.
We may, in the future, add other providers (for example Stripe for payment processing or Resend for transactional emails). If we add such services, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Each of these providers maintains its own privacy policy, which we invite you to consult.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device by the websites you visit. We use them for several purposes:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to work properly (for example, to remember that you have closed a popup).
- Analytics cookies — to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies — to measure the performance of our advertising and to show relevant content.
You can disable or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). You can also manage your advertising preferences directly with the relevant platforms, for example:
Note that disabling some cookies may limit certain features of our site.
8. Sharing and disclosure
We never sell your personal information, and we do not rent it to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your information may be shared only in the following situations:
- With the third-party service providers described in section 6, only to the extent needed for them to perform their services;
- To comply with a legal obligation (for example, in response to a court order or a request from an authorized government agency);
- To protect our rights, our safety or the safety of others;
- As part of a possible business reorganization (for example, sale or merger), in which case you would be informed in accordance with the law.
9. Transfers outside Quebec
Some of our service providers (for example, those used for advertising tools or hosting) may store or process your information outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States. In accordance with Law 25, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your information continues to receive an adequate level of protection.
10. How we protect your information
We take the security of your information seriously. We work with trusted providers, we limit access to your information to people who need it, and we apply reasonable security measures to protect it against loss, unauthorized use and disclosure.
That said, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we ever became aware of an incident affecting your personal information, we would take the required action and notify you in accordance with the law.
11. Data retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Quote requests that do not lead to a service are kept for approximately 24 months so that we can follow up commercially;
- Information related to a service we provided (invoices, work records) is kept for as long as required by Quebec tax and accounting laws — generally six (6) years;
- Information that is no longer needed for any purpose is destroyed or anonymized.
You may request the deletion of your information at any time (see section 13).
12. Your rights
Under Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the following rights:

- Right of rectification — to have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- Right to withdraw consent — to stop authorizing the use of your information at any time;
- Right to portability — to obtain your information in a structured, commonly used technological format (in force since September 2024);
- Right to deletion and de-indexation — to have your information deleted or to ask that certain links about you no longer be made accessible.
We do not use any automated decision-making systems about you.
